Advantages of Precalcining Kiln for the Frmation of Cement Clinker
Cement is one of the most important materials in modern construction, and cement is the semi-finished products of cement clinker; its formation process is a key link in cement production, which decides the yield, consumption and quality of cement products. In the formation process of cement clinker, precalcining kiln plays very significant role; here we analyse several advantages of precalcining kiln in the formation process of clinker.
1) It has high capacity of per unit volume: unit production volume of general precalcining kiln is 2 times higher than suspended preheating kiln, and 6 ~ 7 times higher than wet method kiln.
2) It expands the production capacity of single machine.
3) It extends duration and cycle of kiln lining brick and decrease consumption of refractory.
4) unit heat consumption of clinker is low. The heat consumption of domestic 2993 ~ 4103 kj/kg clinker is only about 60% of the wet method kiln’s.

6) It is good for the improvement of old kiln. The existing old kiln, especially suspended preheating kiln, can be transformed into precalcining kiln only by adding one decomposition furnace; it is also more convenient to transform dry kiln and Lepol kiln into precalcining kiln.
7) It is good for using poor quality fuel. Decomposing furnace has low demands on combustion temperature (900 ~ 950 ℃), so under the conditions of ensuring heat and appropriately speed up combustion rate, we can use part of inferior fuel in the calciner.
8) Small environment pollution. It may produce NOx gas in combustion process of fuels, which pollutes the environment and harms to human body. While, about 50% of the fuels burn in calciner, and thus reduce noxious gas.
